Kai Eckardt is the Master Range Safety Officer for Southern Alberta for the Alberta Federation of Shooting Sports and has been a certified AHEIA instructor since 2015. He has taught PAL and RPAL courses across Calgary and Southern Alberta for the last eight years. He is also a certified Range Safety Officer and Safety Officer Instructor. Kai is a competitive ISSF pistol shooter and has completed the National Coaching Certification Program for pistol and rifle shooting.

Outside of teaching safety courses, Kai is a hunting and fly fishing guide and has been running a resort in the Crowsnest Pass for the past 30 years. He is also training to compete in the Canadian Nationals for pistol shooting in July 2023.
